It lies on the sheltered side of the Land’s End peninsula, three miles west of Penzance and the neighbouring fishing port of Newlyn. It is the perfect centre for exploring West Cornwall.

The Surrounding Area
Within easy reach are the long golden beaches of St. Ives, Sennen and Hayle. Sennen has one of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall. You can hire surfboards and wet suits. It also has a surf school and licensed beach restaurant
The legendary St. Michael’s Mount, visible across the bay from the garden at ‘Turnstone’, can be visited via the causeway at low tide, or by ferry at high water. The stunning cliff top Minack Theatre is just along the coast on the way to Land’s End.
